Our Mission

The Hermosa Beach Historical Society was founded in 1987 with the mission to engage, delight, and educate the community through the presentation and exploration of history. The collection is extended to the public as a source of lifelong learning.

What your Sponsorship Supports:

Your Gala Sponsorship supports our organization to continue our ongoing educational lectures, documentary screenings, field trips for all ages, gallery collections and volunteer opportunities. Additionally, we partner with local nonprofits and city entities to host community events and celebrations. Your sponsorship also empowers the Museum to achieve our future goals to: 

  • Expand and diversify our educational programming to better serve our South Bay Community

  • Renovate our Beach Culture Gallery to incorporate important South Bay themes such as Beach Volleyball, Surfing, Skateboarding, and Lifeguarding

  • Become an Accredited Museum with the American Alliance of Museums

  • Take our Museum Collections & Archives online to promote research and academic accessibility

PLATINUM SPONSOR -- $10,000

  • This is an exclusive opportunity for a single organization or group

  • Organization's name and logo prominently displayed on the Museum website for 12 months identifying them as the Platinum Sponsor

  • Organization name prominently displayed at all events for 12 months on donor plaque, along with one Facebook and Instagram recognition post

  • Headline sponsor for the Gala, with a reserved table (10 seats) and recognition signage at the event

  • Membership for 10 individuals with invitations to private events and exhibition previews

GOLD SPONSOR -- $5,000

  • Organization's name and logo prominently displayed on the Museum website for 12 months identifying them as a Gold Sponsor
